A slight improvement this morning with 2ft of NE swell and light N'ly winds early. The open beaches are already wind effected but the northern pockets are clean enough for a paddle. The wind will increase to 20kts from the N/NW so hit it early before it gets too lumpy. Try the corners of Sunshine, Yaroomba, Kawana and Kings. Check out the latest Coastalwatch forecast.

Outlook: Wind: N/NW 15/20 knots, reaching 20/25 knots offshore south of Cape Moreton during the morning. A W/SW change 15/20 knots extending from the west during the late afternoon and evening. Sea: 1.7 metres, reaching 2.2 metres offshore south of Cape Moreton during the morning. Rain areas, increasing during the late afternoon and evening with possible isolated thunderstorms.
