Green is the new black or so the ocean thinks.The further north you head the bigger it gets. Size, 3ft to 5ft and direction is dead south. Not overly big in the south comers but its all very green looking. Wind remains offshore from the W....check Coastalwatch swell forecast for updates. The rising south swell has left all beaches with sweeps to the north and rips especially on run out tide. Exercise care and obey warning signs displayef. Swim only in patolled areas and Nobbys will be the best for the kids.
During the winter season, Nobbys Beach, Bar Beach and Newcastle Ocean Baths are patrolled 7 days a week from 8am to 4.30pm by the Newcastle City Council Lifeguards.
