Late Morning Update...Smooth conditions with most of the SSE swell missing the coast and tracking past offshore, it is only in the 1ft range with bigger sets every noe and then. Light SW winds that are forecast to go SSW later. The tide is coming back into a high at 5.30pm. The Tweed Coast, D'bah, the far N end beachies and TOS picking up a bit more of the S swell anf there are very small fun ones on the points when the set waves come through. Take a board with lots of foam.
John Charlton spreads his time between the Gold & Sunshine Coasts. He’s been surfing this area for many a year and is totally in tune with all the different breaks and how the varying swell and wind patterns affect this wave plentiful region.
An E swell of up to 1 metre. Take care on the outgoing tide this afternoon. Swim only between the flags with Council Lifeguards.
