Morning Update...It's fined up but it is still flat. It is only in the 0-1ft range on the more open beaches that pick up more of the S swell. The winds are WNW, with a SSW change forecast later in the morning. The tide is dropping to a low at 12.20pm. The Tweed Coast, D'bah, the far N end beachies and TOS picking up a tiny bit of the S swell, but it Iis hardly worth it as it is barely ripple riding.
John Charlton spreads his time between the Gold & Sunshine Coasts. He’s been surfing this area for many a year and is totally in tune with all the different breaks and how the varying swell and wind patterns affect this wave plentiful region.
An E swell of up to 1 metre. Take care on the outgoing tide this afternoon. Swim only between the flags with Council Lifeguards.
