Surf Report Gold Coast QLD 11:46am 17/05/2012
Swell size: 1ft SSE
Lunchtime Update.....The winds are from the S now, but SSE swell is still sliding past the coast and is very small at 1-2ft. on the more open beaches and on the Tweed Coast and only 1ft. on the points. The winds are forecast to go SSE later and the tide is low now. Small ones at D'bah and the points on the Tweed Coast are the pick as they are picking up more of the SSE swell. Tiny ones on the Goldie points also. View the 7 day extended forecast at plus.coastalwatch.com

The SSE swell is around 1m with offshore winds early becoming SSE later. There is a sweep running from S to N. Take care on the run out tide this morning. Beaches like Rainbow Bay, Greenmount, Coolangatta, Currumbin and Burleigh will be more sheltered from the SSE winds. Please take care and join Council Lfieguards between the flags and enjoy your day.
