Morning Update....If anything it has got even smaller during the morning, it is only in the 0-1ft range on the more open beaches now. Very light SSW winds now, that are forecast to go SW to strengthen from the NNW later. The tide is dropping to a low at 11.35am. The Tweed Coast, D'bah, the far N end beachies and TOS picking up a bit more of the S swell, but it is barely ripple riding this morning. Take a board with lots of foam.
John Charlton spreads his time between the Gold & Sunshine Coasts. He’s been surfing this area for many a year and is totally in tune with all the different breaks and how the varying swell and wind patterns affect this wave plentiful region.
An E swell of up to 1 metre. Take care on the outgoing tide this afternoon. Swim only between the flags with Council Lifeguards.
