The swell has gone around to the SE and is clean and straight in the 1-2ft range, it's bigger on the Tweed Coast, D'bah and TOS . The winds are SSW early with strong SSW to S wind later in the day. The tide is dropping to a low at 10am, high will be at 5pm. Once again the Tweed Coast, D'bah and TOS picking up more of the S swell and have more size and there are small ones all the coast early with the points the pick on the dropping tide.
John Charlton spreads his time between the Gold & Sunshine Coasts. He’s been surfing this area for many a year and is totally in tune with all the different breaks and how the varying swell and wind patterns affect this wave plentiful region.
The NSW lifesaving patrol season ended on Sunday 28 April, however Salt Resort main beach is still patrolled by lifeguards 7 days a week. Byron Main Beach will be patrolled by lifeguards 7 days a week until 9 June, 2013.

Surfing Mums meet here!
Surfing mums is a network of women who surf and are mums (of course), but what sets them apart is that they still want to surf as much as we did before they had kids. Its not about how well you surf, or if you are a long boarder, short boarder, bodyboarder, body surfer or learning to surf. It's about getting wet and having fun!
