A small S swell in the Bay with 1ft on the sets. The wind is W and semi clean early. The wind is forecast to gain in strength through the day with very strong SSW forecast later. The protected Southern corners will be best later today. Try the open beaches early before the wind kicks in.
The NSW lifesaving patrol season ended on Sunday 28 April, however Salt Resort main beach is still patrolled by lifeguards 7 days a week. Byron Main Beach will be patrolled by lifeguards 7 days a week until 9 June, 2013.
Please do not take any risks during the off-season period. No Flags = No Swim! The majority of beach patrols will again commence on the first day of the September School Holidays.
