Our autumn has been awesome and I guess some bad weather had to arrive on our door step sooner or later !! Don't be fooled though as there area few waves in the heavily protected southern corners and winds as we speak is SSW and surface conditions are pretty good considering. If you are experienced and happy to brave the wind strengths around 7am this morning there is a wave around.This swell will build all day so take care if getting out there..... Lee Winkler started surfing in his home town of Coffs Harbour when he was a schoolboy. He “took it to the limit” and was a touring pro on the WQS and WCT circuits for many years before returning home to Coffs, where he runs his Surf School and raises a family.
The NSW lifesaving patrol season ended on Sunday 28 April, however Park Beach, Coffs Harbour is still patrolled by council lifeguards 7 days a week.
Please do not take any risks during the off-season period. No Flags = No Swim! The majority of beach patrols will again commence on the first day of the September School Holidays.
