Main breaks around town missing all the southerly swell and have either flat conditions or tiny waves. Open beaches and the more exposed southern headlands south of town have waves around 3ft with bigger sets. Early to mid morning will be the pick with the lighter offshore winds. For surf lessons and equipment hire phone Port Macquarie Surf School 6584 7733.
Peter Hudson and his sons Grant & Wayne have been surfing the waves around Pt. Macquarie all their lives. Peter is a multiple Australian Title holder in both short and longboards and Grant and Wayne have both competed on the WQS international tour. When they’re not out surfing, they’ll be coaching at their Pt. Macquarie Surf School.
The NSW lifesaving patrol season ended on Sunday 28 April.
Please do not take any risks during the off-season period. No Flags = No Swim! The majority of beach patrols will again commence on the first day of the September School Holidays.
