Clean conditions on most beaches with a light offshore wind. Main breaks around town are flat unless you want to go across the river for a surf. Open beaches are attracting a few waves around 2ft with the occasional bigger set. Wind will be light turning onshore during the afternoon. For surf lessons and equipment hire phone Port Macquarie Surf School 6584 7733.
Peter Hudson and his sons Grant & Wayne have been surfing the waves around Pt. Macquarie all their lives. Peter is a multiple Australian Title holder in both short and longboards and Grant and Wayne have both competed on the WQS international tour. When they’re not out surfing, they’ll be coaching at their Pt. Macquarie Surf School.
The NSW lifesaving patrol season ended on Sunday 28 April.
Please do not take any risks during the off-season period. No Flags = No Swim! The majority of beach patrols will again commence on the first day of the September School Holidays.
