There are some nice waves this morning. Southern corners have the cleaner conditions. Main breaks around town will have the better conditions on the incoming tide as there is a lot of dirty water coming out of the river on the outgoing tide. Points north of Port will definitely be worth a look with clean conditions all day. The finals of the Crescent Head Malibu contest is on today and will be worth a look For surf lessons and equipment hire phone Port Macquarie Surf School 6584 7733.
Peter Hudson and his sons Grant & Wayne have been surfing the waves around Pt. Macquarie all their lives. Peter is a multiple Australian Title holder in both short and longboards and Grant and Wayne have both competed on the WQS international tour. When they’re not out surfing, they’ll be coaching at their Pt. Macquarie Surf School.
The NSW lifesaving patrol season ended on Sunday 28 April.
Please do not take any risks during the off-season period. No Flags = No Swim! The majority of beach patrols will again commence on the first day of the September School Holidays.
