Mid morning update - Def some 5ft sets now. winds fresh Sth. Earlier report - The surf has improved. The swell is in the 3-4ft plus range from the E. It is quite peaky, so the southern end of the beaches look ok. Maroubra (especially Sth Bra) and Bronte are quite sheltered. There is a hint of SW/S in the wind so as mentioned Maroubra and Bronte reasonably smooth early. Worth braving the elements for a paddle if your keen.
