Lunchtime Update.....The swell has picked upa bit from the SSE to be in the 2ft range, around 1ft the S corners and bigger on the far N end of the coast. The winds are light SW now and are forecast to go strong SW to S later. The tide is coming back in to a high just before 5pm. Most of the S swell is offshore, just some small ones along the open E facing beachies with more size from Coolum to A Bay before the strong S winds get up.
John Charlton spreads his time between the Gold & Sunshine Coasts. He’s been surfing this area for many a year and is totally in tune with all the different breaks and how the varying swell and wind patterns affect this wave plentiful region.
