It's still looking like Lake Pacific this morning. The SSE swell is only flat to 1ft on the more open beaches. Light W winds early, that are forecast to go strong SSW later in the day with gale force winds and a rising swell tomorrow. The tide is high just before 7am, dropping to a low at 1pm. It's ripple riding only with a board with lots of volume on the more open beaches later on the dropping tide, with from Peregian to A Bay a tiny bit bigger before the strong SSW winds get up.
John Charlton spreads his time between the Gold & Sunshine Coasts. He’s been surfing this area for many a year and is totally in tune with all the different breaks and how the varying swell and wind patterns affect this wave plentiful region.
