COASTALWATCH Bringing the surf to you
Swell Alert - NSW

Surfers in central and southern NSW could be in for a treat next week thanks to a tropiclal low-pressure system developing off Queensland.

According to Coastalwatch's Chief Swell Forecaster, Ben Macartney, there should be a strong North-easterly swell building right along the the NSW coast from early next week.

Wind modelling is a little less certain, with the chance that strong onshores could still ruin the party, and limit surfable options during the peak of the swell. However, there should be plenty of size on offer, so it could well be worth keeping your big board out and a bit of free time if bit of free time if you can.

Check the NSW forecast page for detailed breakdown.
