It’s been a great week of waves in Hawaii. From fun peaks to Pipe bombs, it’s all been happening.
Thursday, November 11th A clean peaky three-four foot north-west swell with light trade winds was hitting all the small waves spots perfectly. Rocky Point was the best of the bunch with A-frame peaks offering ripple faces and the odd barrel going left or right.
Friday, November 12th Ground Hog Day. With the exact same conditions as Thursday, all the same small waves spots were really fun!
Saturday, November 13th Flat as a tack. No wind and no swell. It was a day to go swimming and snorkeling not surfing.
Sunday, November 14th It was flat in the morning but by lunch-time there were sets showing in the six-eight foot range from the west-north-west. The trades were really strong so Haliewa was the spot, offering some protection from the wind and waves in the six-eight foot range. On dark the wind dropped and Pipe had a couple, but the sand was still causing a little backwash and close-outs.
Monday, November 15th It was a classic Pipeline day with waves in the 8-12 foot range from the west-north-west. Got a couple with my Go Pro camera but on my second-to-last wave it got smashed off by a clean up set.
Tuesday, November 16th As quick as it came up, it was gone. In the morning there were a couple five-to-six foot wave at spots that pick up the most swell, but by the afternoon it was only a couple of foot, with really clean conditions.
Forecast There is a bunch of west swells forecasted for this week should be another week of fun waves. Check back in a week’s times for the next video with more exciting surfing from the North Shore. - Anthony Walsh
