Curious Kent. Portraiture from the Pacific.
International photographer Kent Mathews has recently completed a portrait series at Bestival, the largest fancy dress party in the world. Kent photographed over 300 people in 2 days in a specially constructed portrait studio at the festival, the idea being to photograph people against a stark white background removed from their normal environment. He shot many artists that were playing at the festival including Lilly Allen, Mika, and Florence and the Machine in addition to the festival goers.
