Swell continues to fade with down to 2-3 ft on open beaches. Winds from SW at 7 knots start day with pred turn gusty SE later in day. Some smaller little ones still about on those open stretches with storms and showers pred again for Coast over next few days. Swell pred to increase again into afternoon with swell front . Worth getting in water today with some small pesky ones about before wind change and messy conditions.

Forecast for Tuesday 2 September until midnight
Gale Warning for Tuesday for Hunter Coast
Winds: North to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots shifting southwesterly 15 to 25 knots in the morning then increasing to 25 to 35 knots in the afternoon. Winds reaching up to 40 knots in the evening.
Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1.5 to 2.5 metres during the morning, then increasing to 2.5 to 4 metres during the afternoon.
Swell: Easterly 1.5 metres, tending southerly 2 to 3 metres by early evening. Weather: The chance of thunderstorms from early this afternoon. Caution: Large and powerful surf conditions in the afternoon and evening are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing.

Late season Indo commences with a fairly lacklustre week of waves, but there's plenty more on the horizon for mid September.
