Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Excellent

Clean conditions this morning with 3-5ft of long lined South swell on the sets with a West wind on the open beaches. The swell is bigger at the South swell magnets and should decrease slightly throughout the day and the wind will swing NW later today so conditions should be good most of the day. The South swell magnets are bigger and the best option early along with the points which are slightly smaller but good shape. There have been lots of big white pointer shark sightings at the Ballina Shire beaches so check it out before you go. Low tide is at 7.02am and high is at 1.27pm.
