Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Excellent

The swell has settled down overnight and is now 4-5ft with some bigger sets early this morning. Conditions are cleaner and much better shape than yesterday. Today is still for experienced surfers only on the open beaches and points with lots of sweep and currents. The wind is WSW early and is forecast to strengthen more and swing Southerly. Tides today are low at 8.15am and hiigh at 2.01pm, the incoming tide will improve conditions before the wind swings S. Early best for the experienced at the Southern protected corners or try the Bay for small ones.
