Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

It's dropped off just a touch with clean inconsistent 3ft waves on the sets at most beaches and some bigger waves at the South swell magnets this morning. Early best at the open beaches and South swell magnets with a light WSW wind that is forecast to be light and variable early then go onshore from the NE later today. There have been multiple Great White sightings over the past few weeks that have caused the Ballina Shire and Byron Bay beaches to be closed a lot so check it out before you go. The high tide is at 10.57am this morning and low is at 4.56pm this afternoon.

...... Check out the Father's Day Special on Coastalwatch. A gift to stoke every surfing dad.
