Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Excellent

After a second shark incident that happened at Lennox Point yesterday the Ballina Shire Beaches are still officially closed and will be re-assesed at 9am. It's bigger today with clean 3-5ft on the open beaches and looking good early. The winds are light WSW early and are expected to get stronger from the South later this morning. Best waves are early at the South swell magnets and open beaches before the wind swing. .High tide is at 9.50am this morning and the low is at 3.30pm this afternoon.
