Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

It's only 1ft at the best and bumpy with a light NNW wind early. It's not looking good today with the wind coming from the North and strengthening later in the morning. My advice is don't bother surfing today with lots of reasons to stay dry including multiple Great White sightings that caused the Ballina Shire beaches to be closed yesterday and all surfing events were cancelled. If you must then try the Northern corners for the cleanest waves. .. . . high tide is at 9.35am this morning and the low is at 3.19pm this afternoon.
