Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

It's dropped off a bit more and is now a clean 1-2ft waves on the sets at most beaches this morning. The swell is a mix of South swell and E swells and the wind is from the West that is forecast to swing Southerly later today. It looks like later this afternoon will get some more swell from the South but this morning is the best for clean waves. There have been multiple Great White sightings over the past few weeks that have caused the Ballina Shire and Byron Bay beaches to be closed a lot so check it out before you go. The low tide is at 6.14am this morning and high is at 12.53pm this afternoon.

...... Check out the Father's Day Special on Coastalwatch. A gift to stoke every surfing dad.
