Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

Light W winds early cleaning conditions up and the swell is a bit messy and still small out of the ESE in the 1 to 2ft range this morning. SE winds are forecast later. Check along the open beaches early before the SE winds come in. Later when the SE winds get up and the tide drops, check the Points and S corners, but is hardly inspiring. There have been quite few large White Pointer shark sightings and incidents at the Ballina Shire beaches lately so check it out before you go. High tide is at 5.50am and low tide is at 12.15pm.

I started surfing in 1980, and started shaping boards in 1989.

Morning of the Earth Surfboards

For some the modern short board will never make sense. To me there are elements of the past that are still viable today, when blended with all we have learnt in the past.

Aloha Surf Manly

Aloha manly style has been operating since 1991 thru this time we have evolved with the continual progression of surfboard designs, wetsuits and all other surf accessories.

Sculpt Surfboards

Since launching in 2013, Sculpt Surfboards has made a huge impact on the Australian East Coat, particularly with local board riders along the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
