Surf Report Info

Region: Bondi Beach to Maroubra

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

Lunchtime update - The Sth wind shift is here- winds are freshening from the Sth limiting surfable options. There's a combo of NE leftovers and now a building Sth windswell. Windy Bondi or Sth Maroubra maybe for despo's. - Earlier report -It is a case of the calm before the storm beachside right now. Light northerlies, increasing cloud and 1-2ft of ENE windswell at present. Within hours expect howling southerlies, a rapidly building Sth swell and most likely some heavy rain. Surf now or hit up a Sth corner. Small 1-2ft at Maroubra and Tama now, Bondi even smaller. Be aware the Sth wind is less than an hour or two away.
