Arvo update - The swell has really kicked in the last few hours. It is a solid 6-7ft plus now out of the E, even the odd bigger one. Not many options. - Earlier report -There's nowhere to hide from the howling SE wind this morning. Pretty ugly conditions with strong onshore SE winds making a real mess of the building ENE swell. Wave heights are in the 4-6ft range and it is starting to look stormy. Nowhere really to recco this morning, even Sth Maroubra is blown out. Perhaps if the wind tends a little more south Maroubra will improve during the day. I will update. Real bummer that we just got some decent banks on the beaches after a long draught and now this storm swell could mess things right up again. Bondi is smaller, but it is windy and hates this swell direction. Tama and Bronte are blown out.
