Surf Report Info

Region: Bondi Beach to Maroubra

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Nice morning, plenty of sunshine, light offshore WSW winds early and no shortage of swell. The ESE swell we enjoyed much of the week has given way to a new pulse in the 9-10 second range from the SSE. Wave heights are in the 3-5ft range with the odd slightly bigger set on south exposures like Bondi. Water surface conditions are a little bumpy, but hey there's waves. Sth Maroubra and Coogee have a small wave, Bronte is surfable. Bondi looks a bit wishy washy and maxing a bit, but it is surfable. The winds forecast to edge more Sth in the afternoon.
