Surf Report Info

Region: Bondi Beach to Maroubra

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Lunchtime update Winds SSE now, swells slowly easing back to 4-5ft plus. Messy, low tide - pretty ugly in all honesty. - Earlier report -The Sth swell increased steadily to a peak in the 6-8ft plus range yesterday afternoon. It is a similar size this morning on south facing stretches, perhaps just a fraction smaller. It is forecast to slowly ease today, the biggest problem is it is quite bumpy, uneven and unruly. The wind is SW/S and moderate. There's not really many options in the Eastern subs today other than Sth Maroubra, Coogee, Bronte and in the corner at Nth Bondi are kinda rideable, but there's a lot of water moving around. Better options jumping in the car and heading Nth or south today if you have the day off.
