Surf Report Info

Region: Brunswick Heads to Byron Bay - The Pass

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

Small clean waves in the 1-2ft range from the SSE in the Bay this morning. It's bigger on the open beaches. The winds are WSW early with stronger South winds forecast for later in the morning. Try the open beaches early or try the Southern protected corners inside the Bay for small but clean waves all day. High tide is at 9.50am this morning and low is at 3.30pm. Beaches are still officially closed in the Ballina Shire
