Regional Surf Report

Surf Report Info

Region: Brunswick Heads to Byron Bay - The Pass

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

Cleaner conditions today with some nice clean 2ft waves on the sets with light SW winds inside the Bay this morning. The winds are forecast to increase later from the SE later. The Southern protected corners and points inside the Bay will be best all day. Bigger on the open beaches and nice and clean early but later they will be wind affected. There have been quite few large White Pointer shark sightings at the Ballina Shire beaches lately so check it out before you go. Low tide is at 12.07pm and high tide is at 6.22pm.
