Surf Report Info

Region: Brunswick Heads to Byron Bay - The Pass

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

The swell is a bit bigger in the Bay this morning from the ESE swell in the 2 up to 3ft range. Once again it's bigger on the open E facing beaches with SW winds early that are forecast to go SE later. Once again check the points and S corners early on the open E facing beaches, with some smaller fun ones in the Bay all day. There have been quite few large White Pointer shark sightings and incidents at the Ballina Shire beaches lately so check it out before you go. High tide is at 8.05am and low tide is at 2.25pm.
