Surf Report Info

Region: Brunswick Heads to Byron Bay - The Pass

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

It's similar to yesterday morning with semi clean 2ft+ fun waves from the ESE in the Bay early. The wind is from the SSE. The cleanest waves are at the Southern protected corners on the East facing beaches. It's a lot bigger on the open beaches but very lumpy and bumpy. The wind is forecast to strengthen from the SSE later. There have been lots of shark sightings at the Ballina Shire beaches so check it out before you go. High tide is at 12.51pm and the low is at 7.10pm.
