Surf Report Info

Region: Brunswick Heads to Byron Bay - The Pass

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

Semi clean with a light NW wind in the Bay with up to 1-2ft of SE swell. The winds will strengthen from the ENE later and increase through the day. The open beaches are bigger and cleaner option with fun waves most of the morning. There have been a few white pointer shark sightings at the Ballina Shire beaches lately so check it out before you go. High tide is at 6.57am and low is at 12.38pm.
