Regional Surf Report

Surf Report Info

Region: Brunswick Heads to Byron Bay - The Pass

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

Similar to yesterday with tiny semi clean 0-1ft waves in the Bay this morning on the sets early with a fading South swell and moderate WSW winds that are forecast to swing Easterly and strengthen later this morning. Try the open beaches and South swell magnets early for the best waves as they are picking up the South swell a lot more. Later try the points inside the Bay for tiny clean options as the wind swings to the East. There have been quite few large White Pointer shark sightings at the Ballina Shire beaches lately so check it out before you go. Low tide is at 6.30am and high tide is at 12.26pm.
