Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Update. NNW winds freshening with 2ft of E swell. There are a few along the far N end beaches. Early Report. There nothing inspiring out there there for the 1st day of Spring with NW winds early combined with a small ESE swell that is uneven and only in the 1 up to 2ft range. The winds are forecast to go NNE later in the day and the tide is high at 8am, dropping to a low at 1.45pm. Just some average quality ones all along the N end coast early on the higher tide before the NNE winds get up. Later try the Spit and the back beaches on the Tweed Coast.
