Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Early Update. The swell has picked up from the SSE since dawn , it is in the 4-5ft+ range on the more open beaches and 3ft on the points. It's predicted to keep increasing more later in the morning and the winds are fresh SSW early with strong S winds, going SSE forecast later. Early on the low tide the points are definitely the pick with D'bah and TOS improving on the incoming tide before the strong S winds get up. Points this arvo. Surfing Qld presents the MP Classic this weekend at D'bah or Kirra.
