Surf Report Info

Region: Cronulla - Wanda to Cronulla

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Lunchtime update - After a nice, clean morning of waves, the wind shifted south just over an hour ago. As a result water suurface conditions have deteriorated a fair bit. Wave heights are still in the 5ft solid range at Wanda, 3-4ft at The Alley and 3-4ft max now at The Point. - Earlier report - Great morning, sunshine, offshore WSW winds and 3-5ft of clean, 11-12 second period south groundswell. Waves to be had at The Point, The Alley, The Wall and even Wanda - sort of. Yes the banks are still 50/50 at best, but there are some corners and runners in the mix if you are patient. Could it be better - yes, well maybe it is worth a drive down the coast today if you have the time or can get the day off etc?Get out there somewhere this morning - well worth hitting it before the wind edges Sth.
