Surf Report Info

Region: Cronulla - Wanda to Cronulla

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Arvo update - Mad, sunny afternoon for first day of spring. Tides low nowish. Swells still a solid 4-5ft on sets on open stretches. The beaches are kinda closing out, but looks like some rips and gutters may be forming. Points 3-4ft max. Winds light to mod SSE. Worth a late paddle. - Earlier report - Cleaner and smaller this morning with around 3-5ft of south swell leftover on open stretches. The wind is SW early, forecast to tend more SSE later. Try and surf early whilst conditions are best. The tide is rushing in. The best of the options look to be The Point, The Alley, Nth Cronulla or Elouera before the wind shiftes.
