Surf Report Info

Region: Cronulla - Wanda to Cronulla

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

Very similar to yesterday morning, not as cool, the wind is not as steady offshore and the swell is also weaker, but it is still inviting. It is a beautiful sunny, crisp morning with light, offshore WSW winds early making for fun looking, though weakish 2 footers up at Wanda/Hills. The 2-3ft south sets we enjoyed yesterday don't appear to be there today. Wave heights are more in the 2ft max range on open south facing stretches like Wanda. Fun, clean, but small on the beaches would be the summation.
