Surf Report Info

Region: Cronulla - Wanda to Cronulla

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

Small and crisp again. 2-3ft Sth swell on the Wanda/Hills banks. The Alley is 1-2ft. The wind is offshore WSW early, forecast to tend more SW/S and then SSE and freshen. Surf now before it blows out. The swell should build a little during the day, but the wind will obviously compromise quality. Looking to escape the winter cold. Call into The Perfect Wave's new Cronulla office or call 9523 5310.

Morning of the Earth Surfboards

For some the modern short board will never make sense. To me there are elements of the past that are still viable today, when blended with all we have learnt in the past.

Mt Woodgee is one of Australia's oldest Surfboard Manufacturers, building custom Surfboards on the Gold Coast since 1976.
