Surf Report Info

Region: Cronulla - Wanda to Cronulla

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Arvo update - Some nice waves about still. There were some solid 5ft sets about earlier, but it appears to be easing slightly. The Point prob the best bet on the dropping tide. It is an inconsistent 3-4ft. Winds still offshore. Beaches closing a bit. - Earlier report - There's a decent long period south groundswell in the water this morning, up in the 3-4ft plus range on some sets on south facing stretches. The wind is offshore NW, and the sun is out. The biggest problem is the early low tide means there are plenty of closeouts on the beaches. Conditions will defrinetely improve on the incoming tide. Try certain south facing reefs early, otherwise try the beaches at Wanda/Hills, Midway and Elouera when the water pushes in.
