Region: Palm Beach to Manly - Fairy Bower

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Excellent

    Corduroy ocean and cracking waves with sets to 8ft S facing beaches. Morning Report: Waves 4-6ft+, Swell SSE @ 15 sec, Winds NW-WNW 8-24 knots. Bigger swell with greater energy arriving through the night. Directions S/SSE with size between 3-4ft open beaches, 6ft sets S facing and big lumps of moving water out on offshore bombies. Ocean has good form and waves are clean with light NW winds early. Into the day all good news with building west winds and solid swell . Keep an eye out for clean ups with decent wait between the bigger sets.
