Arvo update: swell shift more from SE with solid sets around 5ft+, S wind affected.Morning report: Waves 4-6ft+ , Swell SSE@10 secs Winds WSW-SW-S 15-25 knots. Calmer seas at the moment but still solid with big lumps lurking, Directions wonky SSE, size ranging 4-8ft with early WSW wind adding degrees of control, Into the day wind tending S building then easing later, Best of it early at a few open beaches then again tuck into protected S ends as wind whips up.

Winds: Southerly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots offshore in the late morning.
Seas: 2 metres, decreasing to 1.5 metres by early evening.
Swell: Southerly 2 to 2.5 metres, tending southeasterly 2 metres during the afternoon. Caution: Large and powerful surf conditions in the morning are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing.
