Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Excellent

It's bigger than yesterday and very cold with waves in the 4ft range from the South at most beaches this morning with light WSW winds early. Conditions are good with clean faces but a fair bit of sweep. Best and bigger at the South swell magnets. The wind will strengthen later this evening from the NE and the swell will rise slowly throughout the day. There have been lots of shark sightings at the Ballina Shire beaches so check it out before you go. High tide is at 10.24am and low is at 3.58pm.
