Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

The new South swell has peaked overnight and now it's 3ft with some bigger sets and clean with a light West wind early. It's a notch bigger at the South swell magnets. The swell should slowly drop through the day. The wind should swing South later in the morning. Try the open beaches and Southern corners early for the cleanest waves. Ballina beaches were closed yesterday after four big sharks were spotted near Boulders and Lennox Point.. . . high tide is at 6.21am this morning and the low is at 12.09pm this afternoon.
