Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

The swell is still a bit disorganised out of the E in the 3ft+ range this morning with light SW winds early, trying to clean it up. SE winds are forecast later and the tide is high early. Once again the Points and S corners are once again the cleanest options this morning on the higher tide and will be the pick all day. There have been quite few large White Pointer shark sightings and incidents at the Ballina Shire beaches lately so check it out before you go. High tide is at 8.05am and low tide is at 2.25pm.
