Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Similar to yesterday morning with 4ft waves on the sets at the open beaches from the ESE this morning and very lumpy and bumpy with a SSE wind which is messing it up. The wind is expected to get stronger from the SE later this morning. The Southern protected corners are the best option all day or try the Bay for sheltered conditions. There have been lots of shark sightings at the Ballina Shire beaches so check it out before you go. High tide is at 12.51pm and the low is at 7.10pm.
