Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Excellent

The swell has jumped as expected with 6ft+ of stormy wind affected waves greeting us this morning. Today is for experienced surfers only on the open beaches and points with lots of sweep and currents. The wind is strong SW early and is forecast to strengthen more and swing Southerly. Tides today are low at 7.29am and hiigh at 1.06pm, the incoming tide will be on the peak of the swell and create extra sweep so be careful. Early best for the experienced at the Southern protected corners or try the Bay for small ones.
