Surf Report Info

Region: Lennox Head Beach to Evans Head

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

It's a similar size to yesterday but the swell has a lot of East in it with sets in the 3-4ft range on the open beaches this morning with lumpy conditions and light West winds early. Best in the Southern corners, lumpy on the open beaches. Stronger East to NE winds are forecast later this morning. The Southern protected corners are the best option early then try the Northern corners later today. There have been lots of shark sightings at the Ballina Shire beaches so check it out before you go. Low tide is at 7.36am and high is at 1.26pm.
