Surf Report Info

Region: Bondi Beach to Maroubra

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Very cool on the Eastern Suburbs beaches this morning with moderate, offshore SW wind early. There's a combo of swells creating a peaky 3-4ft mix. There's some E swell mixed in with the dominant Sth. The result is some peaky 3-4ft waves on all the beaches. Not so much the defined banks of previous weeks when we enjoyed small, clean south swell conditions, but hey there's waves. Maroubra and Bronte looks the pick, and there's also waves at Sth Bondi. Winds are forecast to tend Sth and freshen up later, and we may get some coastal showers later too. Sth Bra and Bronte smoothest, most sheltered from today's wind.
