Surf Report Info

Region: Bondi Beach to Maroubra

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Lunchtime update - The swell and wind have increased steadily all morning. Solid 6-7ft plus on south facing stretches like Bondi. Smaller at Bronte, Coogee and Maroubra. - Earlier report -After yesterday's solid 4-6 ft sets, the swell has eased overnight. It is a bit smaller this morning averaging 2-4ft from the SSE. The wind is up early from the SW/S too, ruffling water surface conditions a little. The wind is forecast to freshen up, and the swell is also forecast to reboot in the next 24 to 48 hours as well. Lets see what happens, i will update later. At this stage Maroubra and Bronte are the most protected options. Sth Bondi ok early on the higher tide and whilst winds are only puffing SW/S. Later winds are expected to strengthen.
