Surf Report Info

Region: Bondi Beach to Maroubra

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

Arvo update - The suns out, the wind is only light Sth, swells still a solid 3-4ft. Nth Maroubra, Bronte and Sth Bondi best bets. - Earlier report - The wind is light offshore W early, so water surface conditions are clean. The swell has settled, it is now averaging 3-4ft from the ESE. Nice conditions early, but the sandbanks have been shifted and still haven't settled. The swell moved some sand around, it will be easier to tell when it drops a touch more what the end result for the Eastern Beaches will be. At present there's some shifty peaks and corners amongst closeouts on the morning low. Winds are forecast to tend SW/S, so try and get wet early.Try Maroubra, Bronte or Sth Bondi.
