Surf Report Info

Region: Bondi Beach to Maroubra

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

The solid 11-12 sec period 4-5ft plus south swell we enjoyed yesterday has eased somewhat overnight. It is also nowhere near as clean as this time yesterday morning either. However, that said there are still plenty of 3-4ft waves about out of the south in the 10 sec period, but set to ease a little further throughout the day. The wind is offshore WSW early, forecast to tend SW/S and then eventually SSE later. Some ok waves at Bronte and Mid to Nth Maroubra. Bondi is bigger, but a little rougher round the edges so to speak. Still worth a paddle.
