Surf Report Info

Region: Palm Beach to Manly - Fairy Bower

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Update. Steady SSE wind with messy bumpy 3ft+, Cleanest in protected S ends. Morning Report: Waves 2-3ft+, Swell SE/SSE @8 sec, Winds WSW-SW-SSW 11-23 knots. Smaller with direction a little more SSE than SE and size now 2-3ft. Still enough SE to get into open beaches but bigger waves at S facing and S ends. There's wobble at more exposed beaches but early west winds feathering, adding form to what's a fairly consistent swell. Into the day winds again edge and build SW>S bringing back the bump with cleanest conditions in protected S ends.
