Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Morning Report: Waves 2-4ft,Swell SSE @10 secs,Winds WSW-S-SSE 10-15 knots. Bit of a lumpy south swell with size ranging 2-4ft and early offshore's returning a bit of form. S facing biggest and doesn't look too bad some beaches. Into the day expecting a touch more energy as moderate winds tend south. Plenty breaking, nothing epic with probably enough swell for cleaner protected ends as winds shift. ...Check out the Coastalwatch Plus Standout Sessions contest & win a trip to the Maldives.
