ENE swell 4-5ft @ 9 seconds. SE winds 22kts. Swell is on the rise from the ENE, however strong winds are affecting all city beaches. Messy conditions will remain the same for the day with swell and winds predicted to increase. To find some shelter from the wind, it could be worth the drive up or down the coast. Report by Wooduck.

Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots turning southerly in the early afternoon. Winds reaching up to 25 knots offshore north of Port Stephens early in the morning and again in the evening.
Seas: 1.5 to 2 metres.
Swell: Easterly 2.5 to 3 metres. Weather: Heavy rain north of Port Stephens early this morning. Isolated thunderstorms. Caution: Large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing.
