Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

There's a touch more swell swell on the beaches that catch more of the S swell this morning, but the run of very small winter waves continues. The SE swell is up to 2ft on the more open beaches and 1 up to 2ft in the more sheltered breaks. Conditions are clean early with light WSW winds, forecast to go light WSW, with a sea breeze later and low tide is at 10.45am with high at 5.40pm. A bit more size on the Tweed Coast, D'bah and TOS and small ones on the points on the dropping tide. Once again you'll need a high volume board.
