Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Update. SSE winds have freshened and the tide is dropping right out. Small ones on the Coolangatta points this arvo. Early Report. The ESE swell is a touch bigger in the 1-2ft range this morning with SSW winds early and the swell should pick up a bit more during the day. SE winds are forecast later and there's an early high tide at 5.25am, then dropping to a low at 11.50am. Early on high tide try D'bah and on the S end beachies, then small ones on the points as the tide drops during the morning and the winds go around to the SE.
