Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Update. A perfect winters day with very small perfect waves with the SSE swell only in 1ft. range, but it's a touch bigger on the beaches that pick up more of the S swell. Light S winds now that are predicted to increase more from the S later in the day and the tide is coming up to a high at around 12.30pm. Once again the S swell magnets of the Tweed Coast points, D'bah and TOS are a bit bigger and are the pick with some tiny ones on the points and S end beachies also on the higher tide.
