Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Another morning of small clean waves with the swell from the ESE in the 1 up to 2ft range on the sets and buried under an early high tide. The winds are light SSW first up but are forecast to go ESE, then ENE later and high tide is 7.35am with low at 1.20pm. Some very small ones all along the coast early on the higher tide before the onshore winds come in.
