Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

It's looking a bit ugly early. The swell is messy and tiny out of the NE in the 1/2 to 1ft range max. The winds are fresh N early, forecast to strengthen from NW later and high tide is at 10.25am with low at 4pm. Forget it early, maybe it will clean up if the winds go NW as forecast, then try along the N beaches but it will be ripple riding only on a high volume board.
