Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

It's still flat and overcast as the long flat spell continues this morning with only up to less than 1ft of ESE swell on the more open beaches and light SSW winds early. SSE winds, going light onshore from the E are forecast later with the tide dropping to low at 10.40am and high will be just after 5pm . Oncer again there is a tiny fraction more swell on the Tweed Coast, D'bah and TOS. Early there are tiny ones all along the coast but once again it's ripple riding only with the outlook for the weekend much better.
