Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

A change in swell direction to the SE and small and clean conditions in the 1 to 2ft range with some bigger ones at around 3ft on the beaches more open to the SE swell this morning. The winds are SSW early, forecast to SE, the E late in the day. Small waves all along the S end coast early on the high tide before the winds pick up from the SE with the Tweed Coast, D'bah and TOS having a bit more size, then small ones on the points later when the tide drops and the winds go around to the SE and take a high volume board.
