Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Update. The cloud has gone and a light NE sea breeze has come in now and once a there's not a lot of wave action about with the SSE swell very small and it looks like we are in for a run of very small conditions . It's in the 1-2ft range on the open beaches that pick up more of the S swell with the odd bigger one and around 1ft on the points with light W winds early. The tide was low at 10.28am, it's coming in to a high at 5.10pm. Forget it this arvo, it's very small and with the onshore winds
