Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

The strong WNW winds yesterday have flattened the NE swell right down, it's only up to 1ft max if that this morning. Conditions are clean with light W winds that are forecast to go WNW then NNW later and the tide is coming in to a high at 8.10am with low just after 2pm. Ripple riding along the open beaches early this morning on the highest volume board you can get. The water temp is down to 19 degrees.
