Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Another clear, crisp morning as we head towards the finish of winter with a only a small SE swell in the 1 up to 2ft range on the open beaches. Conditions are clean with fresh SW winds early that are forecast to go strong S later and low tide is at 9.30am with high at 4,25pm. There is more size down on the Tweed Coast, D'bah and TOS with small ones on the Points on the lower tide. Small but fun again.

Morning of the Earth Surfboards

For some the modern short board will never make sense. To me there are elements of the past that are still viable today, when blended with all we have learnt in the past.

Island Surfboards

In a world of imports and pop-outs, Island Surfboards remains one of the most reputable and experienced manufacturers of top quality, hand-made surfing equipment.

Outer Island Surfboards

In an age when the soul of surfing is run by surfing corporations and the art of shaping has gone to the machines, at Outer Island we are holding on to the grass roots.

Since launching in 2013, Sculpt Surfboards has made a huge impact on the Australian East Coat, particularly with local board riders along the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
