Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

A few waves around early with the swell from the SSE in the 1-2ft range, up to 3ft on the beaches that pick up more of the S swell . The winds are SSW early and are forecast to go S, then SE later and the tide is high early, dropping to a low at 11.45am. Small ones all along the S end of the coast early on high tide with TOS, D'bah and the Tweed Coast bigger in the S swell. Small fun ones on the points as the tide drops during the morning.
