Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

It is a bit bigger this morning, but there's still not a lot of the S swell getting in onto the coast with 1 up to 3ft max of ESE swell on the open beaches, it's smaller in the more protected areas. Light SW winds early, that are forecast to go SSE, then go around to the NNE later and the tide is low early at 6.30am with high at 12.30pm. TOS, D'bah and the Tweed Coast are bigger and are the pick on the incoming tide this morning on a very high volume board. There are some very small ones on the points also before the NNE sea breeze gets up.
