Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

Overcast with showers, fresh S winds early and the SE swell is in the 1 up to 3ft range on the more open beaches, only 1-2ft in the more sheltered areas. Strong SSE winds are forecast later and the tide is filling in to a high just before 7am with low just after 1pm. D'bah is the pick early as it has that extra bit of size with some very small ones on the S end beaches also on the higher tide. Later try the points as the tide drops and let's hope more of the SE swell shows up later in the day.
