Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

It's smaller this morning after yesterday's strong pulse. The SE swell is a bit uneven in the 2-3ft range early with bigger ones on the beaches that catch more of the S swell and the winds are SSW early. SE winds are forecast later and high tide will high at 10.40am, dropping with low at 5pm. The swell has been picking up more on the incoming tide the last few days and there are some fun ones on the points early that will improve with some more water on them as the tide rises this morning.
