Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

It's a very ugly scenario this morning with heavy rain, strong onshore NE winds and the ocean is a blown out mess with a NE swell in the 3ft+ range. It is only going to get worse as the remains of Cyclone Debbie move closer with strong NE winds forecast and high tide is at 9.35am with low at 3.40pm. Absolutely forget it today and get ready for the next few days after the low crosses the coast and spins up offshore.
