Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Update. SSW winds now and 2-3ft of ESE swell on the open beaches. Tweed Cst, D'bah and TOS are the pick. Early Report. A very cool, clear morning and still most of the S swell is passing offshore with 1 up to 3ft of ESE swell on the open beaches and it's only in the 1-2ft range on the more sheltered areas. The winds are light W winds early, they're forecast to go strong SW, then SSW later in the day with low tide at 8.15am, coming back into a high at 2.45pm. Once again there's more size at TOS, far N end beaches, D'bah and the Tweed Coast and they will be the pick later this morning on the incoming tide with small ones on the points early on the lower tide.
