Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Excellent

The swell is a bit smaller out of ESE in the 2-3ft range with bigger ones on the beaches that catch more of the swell and the winds are fresh SSW early. S winds are forecast later and the tide is low early at 6am, coming in to a high at 12.20pm. Smaller fun ones on the points early this morning that will improve on the incoming tide, check D'bah, the S end beachies and TOS also later when the tide is higher. Have a look late in the day to see if the E swell is starting to rise. It has been crowded.
