Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

Update. The swell has picked up a bit during the morning, particularly on the Tweed Coast. It's from the SSE in the 1-2ft range. The winds are fresh SSW and are forecast to go S later and the tide is dropping to a low at 10.45am, coming back in to a high at 5.45pm . Small ones on the points on the low tide on on the highest volume board you've got again. D'bah and the Tweed Coast points are bigger and the S swell should continue to pick up during the day.
