Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

More of the same. It's overcast again with the odd shower, SSW winds early and the SE swell is in the 2 to 3ft range on the more open beaches, 2ft in the more sheltered areas. Strong SE winds are forecast later and the tide is coming in to a high at 7.20am with low just after 1.30pm. D'bah is the pick again early as it has that extra bit of size with some small ones on the S end beaches also on the higher tide. Later try the points as the tide drops later in the morning.
