Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Update. Very strong NW winds now and 2 up to 3ft on the sets of NE swell slanting down the beach. Try the N end beaches this arvo. Early Report. We've got a messy NE swell in the 2-3ft range this morning and NW winds early trying to clean conditions up. They're forecast to go strong W later in the day and high tide is at 7.40am with low at 1.30pm. It should keep cleaning up during the morning after the overnight rain with the N end beaches the pick as the tide starts to drop later in the morning.
