Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Further Update. Swell now 3-4ft and straight and clean E. Points are the pick with S end beachies also. Update. Conditions have cleaned up a lot and the swell has picked up a bit more also. The points are looking good. Early Report. Raining with a mixed direction swell that is uneven and in the 2 up to 3ft range on the sets. The winds are light SW early, trying to clean it up, they're forecast to go SW to SE, then strong WNW later and low tide is early at 6.15am with high at 12.50pm. It should clean up more and improve on the incoming tide this morning with the points the pick early on the low tide.
