Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

Another perfect winters day coming up, but unfortunately the run of very small swell continues. It's only in the 1ft range from the ESE with some 2ft'ers on the more open beaches. Conditions are very clean with light winds out of the WNW early, they're forecast to go NW, then W later and the tide is high just before 8am, dropping to a low at 1.30pm. There's a bit touch more of the swell at TOS, far N end beaches, D'bah and the Tweed Coast for some very small ones on the highest volume board you've got early on high tide.
