Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

Some cloud about this morning with light W winds early and the SSE swell is still only small in 1-2ft. range, up to 3ft on the sets on the beaches that pick up more of the S swell. The winds are predicted to be light and variable with a NE sea breeze later in the day and the tide is coming in to a high at around 10.30am, dropping to a low around 4.15pm. Early try Tweed Coast points, D'bah and TOS as they are a bit bigger with some small ones on the Goldie points and beachies also on the incoming tide before the sea breeze comes up.
