Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

SW winds early that are trying to clean up the SE swell that is a bit uneven in the 2 to 3ft range on the more open beaches, 2ft in the more sheltered areas. Strong S winds are forecast later and the tide is coming in to a high at 8am with low at 2.20pm. D'bah is the pick again early as it has that extra bit of size , even if it is a bit uneven with some small ones on the points early before the tide gets too high. Later in the morning when the tide drops they will be the pick.
