Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Update. ESE winds now and the tide is low. Coolangatta points are the only clean options and are fun. Swell still 2-3ft with 4ft sets. Early Report. The E swell in the 2-3ft range with some bigger ones this morning with SSW winds and there are some fun ones about early. SE winds are forecast later and high tide at 6.50am with low at 1.10pm. More of the same, early on higher tide try TOS, D'bah and on the S end beachies if you can find a bank handling the E swell then nice ones on the points as the tide drops during the morning when the winds go around to the SE.
