Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

A good looking morning with not a lot of swell around first up. The SSE swell is in the 2 up to 3ft range on the open beaches and around 1-2ft on the points with very light SW winds early. Light SSE winds are forecast for later in the day and the swell is predicted to increase this afternoon and low tide is just before 9am with high at 3.20pm. TOS, D'bah and the Tweed Coast are the pick early as they are picking up a bit more of the SSE swell with smaller ones on the Points on the lower tide this morning.
