Regional Surf Report

Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Update. Light ENE winds and not much happening this arvo with D'bah the pick by far. Early Report. The swell is smaller out of the SE this morning and it has some morning sickness on it early and is in the 1-2ft range, it's up to 3ft on the beaches that pick up more of the S in the swell. The winds are light SW early on the S end of the coast, ESE on the N end and are forecast to go E later and high tide is at 5.15am with low at 11.30am. It's a bit messy with D'bah the pick early with more size and the points will have small ones on the dropping tide before the winds strengthen from the E.
