Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

There's not much doing at all this morning with the S swell still tracking past offshore and there's only 1ft of SE swell about with very occasional bigger sets. Light SSW winds early that are forecast to go SSE later the day and the tide is high early, dropping to a low just before noon. It's a touch bigger at TOS, the far N end beachies, D'bah and the Tweed Coast but don't expect much as it's looking a bit like Lake Pacific.
