Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

Conditions are very average this morning. The winds light from the NNW early and the swell is very small and messy out of the E, only in the 1 up to 2ft on the sets range. Strong N winds are forecast later and low tide is at 8.20am with high at 2pm. A few very small ones at TOS and the N end beaches before the N winds get stronger and blow it right out. Once again it's a case of going early with low expectations.
