Surf Report Info

Region: Palm Cove to Bulcock Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

The swell has increased and is clean and straight out of the E in the 3-5ft range this morning on the open beaches with light SSW winds early. It's a touch smaller and cleaner in the S corners and strong S winds are forecast later with low tide at 7.30am, high at 1.30pm. The open beaches are not handling the swell, but E facing points and S corners have some nice ones that will improve with the incoming tide before the strong S winds get up and there are smaller ones at Noosa.
