Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Update. Strong S winds now and a dropping tide and the swell has picked up atouch this morning. D'bah is still the pick with small ones on the Coolangatta points. Early Report. It's smaller this morning with S winds early that are trying to clean up the SE swell that is a bit uneven in the 3ft range on the Tweed Coast, 2ft on the Gold Coast. Strong S winds are forecast again later and the tide is coming in to a high at 8.40am with low at 3pm. Once again D'bah is the pick early as it has that extra bit of size and it is a bit uneven with some very small ones on the points early before the tide gets too high. Later in the morning when the tide drops the points will be the pick on the highest volume board you've got.

Over the past 8 years Weapon Surfboards has established itself solidly amongst the hub of Northern Beaches breaks.

Gato Heroi Surfboards

Gato Heroi stands outside the mainstream surf scene with boards that are unique in design and function.

Outer Island Surfboards

In an age when the soul of surfing is run by surfing corporations and the art of shaping has gone to the machines, at Outer Island we are holding on to the grass roots.

At DMS the vision has always been to create premium-handcrafted surfboards using the best materials, superior craftsmanship and functionality that is second to none.

Morning of the Earth Surfboards

For some the modern short board will never make sense. To me there are elements of the past that are still viable today, when blended with all we have learnt in the past.
