Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Average

After the past coupla days of unexpected gold (have you seen the Burleigh clip on the homepage) today is a bit underwhelming. Yes there's still some E swell remnants, but the wind is tending Nth so there's some surface bump. Wave heights more 1 to 3ft. Expect onshore NE winds later and the low tide is mid morning, so the beachies aren't too crash hot either. Try and get wet early before the onshore freshens up. Maybe semi sheltered Tweed Coast or Spit options best bets
