Surf Report Info

Region: Nth Stradbroke - Point Lookout to Cabarita Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

Update. Strong ESE winds and only 1ft of E swell. A few tiny ones on the Coolangatta points are the only options. Early Report. Very small and clean after the S change with the winds very light from the SW early and the swell is only small out of the ENE in the 1ft range, up to 2ft occasionally on the sets. WSW winds, going SSE are forecast later in the morning and low tide is at 9.50am with high at 3.15pm. A few very small ones early all along the coast on the dropping tide, then D'bah and the points as the tide drops more and the winds go around to the SSE and take a board with plenty of volume.
