Surf Report Info
Region: Chiton Rocks
Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

Today's rating - Epic
The great run of winter swell and clean conditions continues on the South Coast this morning, with light offshore North winds and smooth seas. Surf is still around 4 - 5' along the Middleton - Day St. stretch, with a few bigger sets down toward Cliffs and Goolwa. It's 3 - 4' and glassy around at Chiton / Gap, Waits and Parson's will be bigger, but again probably shutting down on the sets. The forecast predicts winds will shift more NW during the morning, then Westerly after lunch at around 15 knots. Most of the day will be clean and offshore.
