Strong SW winds are making a bit of a mess on the South Coast this morning, and exposed beaches are copping the brunt of it. The Middleton - Goolwa stretch has sloppy surf around 3', with choppy 2' surf around at Chiton. Waits and Parson's will be bigger but all over the place. Winds will remain ot of the SW but should drop under 20 knots by mid arvo. Part-sheltered spots lke Dribs bay might be ok for a wonky wave by late arvo.

Wind: Southwesterly 20 to 25 knots, reaching 25 to 30 knots early in the morning easing to 15 to 20 knots during the afternoon.
Seas: 1.5 to 2.5 metres, decreasing below 1.5 metres later in the evening.
Swell: Southwesterly 3 to 4 metres, decreasing to 2.5 to 3 metres around midday. Weather: The chance of thunderstorms inshore early this morning. Possible hail inshore early this morning.
