Surf Report Info

Region: Perth City tp Trigg Beach

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Wednesday: It's a little lacklustre along the Trigg to Scarborough stretch early this morning with the swell falling away a little. But there's still some inconsistent fun little peaks on offer in the waist high range and chest high on the sets. Conditions are nice and sunny with a light winds out of the ESE at 5 kts. Rotto swell buoy showing a WSW swell to 1.60m @11 secs.

...... Check out the Father's Day Special on Coastalwatch. A gift to stoke every surfing dad.

Morning of the Earth Surfboards

For some the modern short board will never make sense. To me there are elements of the past that are still viable today, when blended with all we have learnt in the past.

Warner Surfboards started in 1996 after 5 years shaping and learning from Greg Clough at Aloha Surfboards in Brookvale.

Outer Island Surfboards

In an age when the soul of surfing is run by surfing corporations and the art of shaping has gone to the machines, at Outer Island we are holding on to the grass roots.

More than 45 years on since Alan Oke began shaping boards in 1968, joined by his brother Chok not long after, Oke Surfboards continue to produce high quality handmade surfboards.
