Surf Report Info

Region: Margaret River to Smiths - Yallingup

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Pretty Good

Rise in SW swell under a varied wind conditions. Still some south in the wind around Prevelly with set waves in the 8ft+ range. Lighter SE winds around Yallingup although smaller due to the south angled swell. Options for waves if your keen for a paddle today. Chunky unruly surf at exposed breaks in the south to some cleaner options at protected breaks and semi sheltered breaks further north. Cape Naturaliste buoy reading 3m @ 12seconds, SW swell.
