Surf Report Info

Region: Margaret River to Smiths - Yallingup

Reporters location:

Coastalwatch surf reporters are the saltiest locals around. Part fish, part shark, part human, they live for the waves and are usually more local than the locals. They’ll be up before dawn waiting for first light to reveal the days surf conditions and can sense a change of wind from a sparrows fart. Each reporter covers a region of coastline which includes many number of surf spots and beaches. Please consider there may be possible variations between this report and your local spot due to differences in orientation to the coast and any local idiosyncrasies that may also effect the swell and weather patterns.

    Today's rating - Poor

Monday; Looking ugly along the cape to cape stretch this morning with bumpy onshore waves showing at exposed breaks. A 15-20kt WNW wind is getting in everywhere making it a lay day today. An epic day for ducks at local ponds and lakes, but that's about it really. The swell buoy seems to have a flat battery, but the swell is coming straight out of the west at about 3.0m.

...... Check out the Father's Day Special on Coastalwatch. A gift to stoke every surfing dad.
