Swell Alert updated 21 October, 2016

There’s no disputing that major swell events are few and far between during the transitional months of spring. But when the Tasman Sea finally decides to wake up, it often does so with a vengeance; generating large swell events when you least expect it. In the wake of a fairly benign month of waves, it now looks like we’ll finally see a major event unfolding across the East Coast in late October; arriving compliments of a deep Tasman low developing off the southern NSW coast this weekend.
