(Wednesday, 17th June 2009, Surfing SA HQ, Port Noarlunga) - South Australia's premier junior surfing series heats up this weekend with the Fantastic Noodles State Junior Surfing Titles on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

One hundred of South Australia's hottest talent will be on show, all itching for points to qualify for the 2009 South Australian nationals team, heading to the Sunshine Coast (QLD) in late November.

The 2009 SA Fantastic Noodles series kicked off in March at Westcape Beach on the Yorke Peninsula, in solid 2.0m surf. Similar conditions are forecast this weekend, so the states best grommets will be put through the washing machine once again in a bid to get the points on the score sheet.

The under 18's boy's division is looking star studded with pro junior surfers Khai Adams and Max Longhurst among the main contenders, whilst the under 18's girls division looks equally as strong with Brinkley Davies and Alice Gilbert, both of whom have bagged an open womens final win this year.

The under 16's division will also once again be hotly contested.

Brae Adams, Mitch Imgraben and Matt Lindsay have shown solid form in the opening round and will be looking to utilise the good conditions to unleash their full repertoire of moves.

Alice Gilbert will be looking for another win in the under 16's girls division, though she will have some stiff competition with Jessica Nietz, Lisa Denny and Anjie Collins all looking to knock her off.

Having recently announced the support of junior surfing throughout the state and the nation, the Fantastic Noodles Junior Surfing Titles covers ten events in South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and Victoria, 14 regional junior surfing titles events in NSW, plus a South Australian Pro Junior event in July.

The Fantastic Noodles State Junior Surfing Titles are proudly supported by: Fantastic Snacks, The Office of Recreation and Sport, LIIVE, Far King Unlimited, Globe, Surfing Australia, Surfing South Australia and Hyundai.

In August 09 Australia’s junior surf pros will be showcasing their incredible talents in homes all over Australia in the brand new TV Series “Next Wave” Fuelled by Fantastic to be aired on Channel Ten. In each episode, we venture into the lives of the nation’s greatest junior surfers who may one day go on to claim the holy grail of surfing; that of World Champion.

And as if all that wasn’t enough, the TV series will culminate in a world first - The Fantastic Noodles Intense Wave Invitational. In this ninth and final episode we will see eight pro junior surfers towed into one of Australia’s gnarliest big wave locations, vying for $20,000 in prize money.

In addition to satisfying the appetites of young grommets all over Australia’s great coast, Fantastic Noodles has also been scouring the world for new flavour inspiration for its new “Intense Flavour Noodle Cups” range which now includes Indian Vindaloo, Portuguese Piri Piri and Spicy Jamaican. Other new great tastes added to the noodle range are Lamb Kebab and Pepperoni plus Roast Chicken in the Pasta Cup range.
