It has been an ok start to spring in Qld and northern NSW. From Fathers day, Sunday September 6 through till Friday Sept 11 there’s been plenty of fun little waves about. The swell has generally been out of the E in the 2-4ft range with light offshore winds from the WNW to WSW depending on the day, and ENE to ESE sea breezes kicking in mid to late morning as the days warmed up. All the E facing points have had good waves on the wide and outside bank set ups, and later in the week there has even been some sand movement back to the top of the points. The beachies have been a lot of fun on the incoming tide each day before the onshore.
